“I began my tenure in February 2012 and have had the pleasure of getting to know many of you through my roles working on the Race for the Cure, Golf for the Cure and other events, at volunteer and community events and through our mission outreach. I have been so proud to be a part of this organization and all we have accomplished.”

“I am thrilled to be joining the staff at the affiliate, which has been like a home to me since my diagnosis in 2001. I was a volunteer for many years, participating in the Survivor Program, as a volunteer Peer Educator, and as part of the grants committee. My professional career has been spent working in every aspect of the philanthropic and nonprofit world, including grantmaking, capacity building, fundraising and volunteer management. It feels wonderful to be a part of a team that makes a difference every day in the lives of women, men and families affected by breast cancer.”

“I’m dedicated to the fight against breast cancer and Susan G. Komen’s mission because we need to find the cure and I have faith we will! I started out as a Komen intern back in 2014, and I immediately became attached to the organization and the unwavering support system we provide. They treat you like family here, and they will be there for you every step of the way. A fun fact about me, I’m absolutely in love with coffee! I love to support small coffee businesses and try new places. Follow my Instagram page at @nj_coffeesnob!”

“While breast cancer runs on my father’s side of the family, I have been fortunate that no one in my immediate family is affected. But like so many others, I have friends who have been impacted. So working at Komen makes me feel like I am helping the cause, even if just in a small way. A fun fact about me is I like to knit dolls and stuffed animals. I also started my own little fundraiser called Knitting for a Cure. If someone I know asks me to make something, I do not accept money for them, but I do ask for a donation to Komen!”
