Jennifer Tsui, PhD, MPH

 

Jennifer Tsui, PhD, MPH is a resident research member in the Division of Population Science at the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey and an Assistant Professor at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Her research focuses on addressing cancer disparities in underserved populations and the impact of health system factors and financial barriers on cancer care and outcomes for vulnerable cancer patients. Through her multidisciplinary research, she collaborates regularly with the New Jersey State Cancer Registry, the Department of Health and the state Medicaid agency. Her current research focuses on understanding patterns of care among low-income cancer patients in New Jersey using large state-based datasets. Much of her prior work examined HPV vaccine introduction and barriers to uptake in low-income minority communities. She completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at Columbia University and earned a PhD in Health Policy and Management from the UCLA School of Public Health.
