Sharon L. Manne, Ph.D.

Sharon Manne, PhD, is the Associate Director for Cancer Prevention, Control and Population Science at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey. Dr. Manne is a Professor of Medicine and Chief of the Section of Population Studies at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She is an internationally-recognized researcher in the area of cancer survivorship, with an expertise in couples- and caregiver-focused interventions for cancer patients. Dr. Manne also has a particular focus in improving the acceptance of cancer screening practices among cancer patients and their families. She has been the recipient of eleven R01 grants from the National Institutes of Health and two K series awards and has mentored many behavioral scientists in the field of cancer prevention and control.
